Michaela Stewart - Intimacy Coordinator
Michaela Stewart (she/her) is an Intimacy Coordinator and filmmaker primarily working in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.
She is working on her certification with SAG-accredited Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC) and has also trained extensively with Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE) as well as with Intimacy Professionals Association, Intimacy Coordinators of Color, and The National Society of Intimacy Professionals.
About Me
As an intimacy coordinator, Michaela combines her passions for filmmaking and advocacy for underrepresented voices in the industry with exceptional empathy and communication skills. Allowing actors feel safe to tell the story in character, sets to remain efficient, all while creating a realistic, compelling, and consensual movement piece in a collaborative manner.
Michaela holds a BFA in Directing, Film Production from Chapman University and also attended the Second City Film School in Chicago. She specializes in comedic filmmaking and 10+ years of experience as an educator and extensive training working with minors and young adults on intimacy choreography and consent.
